Dual Nas PCB:G5A53042141 REV1.3

Hi good morning,
I was not sure where to post this as there are several elements to it both hardware and software related.
TBH i'm not sure what condition it is in so let me start.
1. I suspect that the CMOS battery has died and I have replaced it with a new CR2032.
Will this action of set everything back to factory defaults?
2. I cannot find a copy of the 'Setup' program that came with the box. Does anyone have this or know where I can get it from?

3. I have purchased a TIAO universal J tag adaptor in case I need to re-flash the boot code. But this seems to make use of port95nt.exe which is a 32bit

program that will not run on my 64bit Windows machine. There is allegedly a 64bit version but all the sites that i have found seem to be fake!
Does anyone know about this prog and a real download?
I'm keen to get this NAS working again and would be happy to document progress and snags if this would help others.

Hi Geoff1959!
I don't actually know why some of the NAS boards have some kind of backup battery.
I think it is maybe only to keep the clock running during a power fault.

All settings are stored on the disk.
If you boot your device without a disk it will start with a default configuration.
You only would need JTAG if the bootloader code was erased during a faulty firmware update.
You don't need a setup disk. Everything is stored in FLASH and copied to the disk during first startup.

Maybe the 32 bit driver could be used inside a XP virtual machine.
The USB FTDI323R based adapter don't have that issue.

Best regards,
