Hallo,
ich habe schon einige Jahre das Geraet mit einer 2tb Festplatte betrieben, und wollte jetzt umstellen auf ein 3tb Festplatte.
Leider wird die 3TB Festplatten nicht, bzw. nur teils erkannt von dem Geraet.
Die Festplatte ist neu und funktioniert wenn an Win7 Rechner angeschlossen.
Beim Formatieren der Festplatten in dem NAS kommt am Ende folgende Nachricht:

"FAIL: Your disk has been added some partitions successfully, but failed to format them. Please check the status of device, and make sure that the disk has no write-protect,then try again. "

und danach wird folgendes gezeigt:

Frage: weiss jemand ob es bei dem NAS auch ein Festplattengroesse Limit gibt, und ob das das Problem ist? Oder gibt es da ein anderer Trick?

Question: do you know if i connect the 3tb drive with an external usb3.0 case to the USB port on the Nas, will it address the full 3 tb?

yes the unit sees the drive, but is not successful in actually partitioning it. See the screen shot attached.

I was wondering whether there is some way to partition the drive outside of the unit, and then installing it into the NAS and it would work directly?
